Assistant Manager

We are seeking a positive and confident individual to join our management team at Beanstalk Zip Lines as Assistant Office Manager. Outdoor recreation combined with enthusiastic personalities makes this an enjoyable experience for anyone who enjoys an adventure. We REQUIRE that each applicant can successfully complete course training followed up by a written and practical exam of learned skills.

Responsibilities:

As a member of the BZ team we require the following from all staff:

  • Friendly, outgoing personalities to engage positively with all guests.

  • Supervise and interact with children and adults in a safe and compassionate manner.

  • Implement guidelines to create a safe and supportive environment for guests and staff.

  • Being a part of a team that encourages leadership qualities and healthy life choices.

  • Perform a variety of tasks, such as opening and closing zip line course, high ropes technique and proper equipment maintenance.

As a part of office staff, we are looking for someone with:

  • Weekend and Holiday availability

  • Effective management skills for paperwork, scheduling and social media

  • Outstanding communication skills

  • Active involvement in keeping staff up to date and informed

  • People skills to effectively and respectfully enforce policies and procedures.

  • Upbeat, positive enthusiasm in the office and on the course

  • Digital media familiarity

 

Required Qualifications:

  • First Aid and CPR Certified

  • Wilderness First Responder or EMT preferred.

  • Organizational and time-management skills

  • Outgoing personality with great public speaking skills

  • Ability to build rapport with children and adults

  • Positive, sincere and patient attitude

  • Great judgement skills in high pressure situations

  • Climbing/Outdoor experience

  • Outdoor Recreation experience

 

Training:

  • Initial training for new hires is an intensive week long training. Applicants with previous ropes course/zip line experience will be introduced to our course guidelines, manual and procedure/policy. They will be required to perform both written and practical tests to demonstrate ability and understanding.

  • To be eligible for employment new hires are required to attend the entire length of the training program.

  • Initial training will teach high ropes skills and techniques with a requirement of learning to deliver a high-quality experience, manage risk, master the use of course equipment, perform rescues at height and to provide excellent customer service.

  • New hires must pass written and practical testing to successfully complete the training.

Guide

We are seeking Zip Line Guides to join our team! Outdoor recreation combined with enthusiastic personalities makes this a fun job for anyone who enjoys an adventure!!

Responsibilities:

  • Guides will take tours through our Beanstalk Journey in groups; sending and receiving all guests through elements such as air bridges, zip lines, climbing tower belay and a free fall QuickJump.

  • Supervise and interact with children and adults in a safe and compassionate manner.

  • Implement positive guidelines to create a safe and supportive environment for guests and fellow guides.

  • Being a part of a team that encourages leadership qualities and healthy life choices.

  • Perform a variety of tasks, such as opening and closing zip line course, high ropes technique and proper equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • 16 years and older

  • Weekend and Holiday availability

  • Outgoing personality with outstanding public speaking skills

  • Maturity to possess a professional and healthy safety attitude; positivity, sincerity and patience while working with others.

  • Ability to build rapport through dialogue with children and their parents

  • Great judgement and communication skills in high pressure situations

 

 

PREFERRED, but not required:

  • Climbing/Outdoor skills

  • CPR/First Aid certification
